Valley of the Sun chapter of the Gallaudet Alumni Association held its general meting on January 18, 2014. Allison Polk, visiting from Gallaudet's Office of Development was in attendance and gave a presentation which included the responsibilities of the Development Office as well as events surrounding Gallaudet University's 150th Anniversary.
New officers were elected at the meeting. They are:President: Susie (Gruhner) Tighe, '72Vice President: Al Couthen, '66Secretary: Randy Sergeant, '72Treasurer: Dick Leon, '74
On a side note, four former SBG Presidents attended the meeting: Ron Nomeland, '58, and Ron Sutcliffe, '59, who were visiting Arizona from "back East," and Barbara (Schell) Bass, '60 and Ausma (Smits) Miller, '61 who now reside in Arizona.
